Good vs Bad About Supplements
I knew my diet was lacking, so I wanted to know which supplements were good, bad, ineffective and if any would really do anything to enhance my diet. First I began researching to find out if any nutritional supplement had any scientific research to back up their claims.
In the process I discovered Juice Plus+, a whole food based supplement and a completely different concept dealing with nutrition. I found out that no other nutritional supplement on the market has any scientific research done on their product. Here are some alarming statistics from the U.S, not far behind are the U.K and Australia.
Recent scientific research has begun revealing some of the mysteries surrounding this topic. For some time scientists have known the power that fruit and vegetables can have in boosting anti-oxidants in the blood and lowering oxidative stress.
The recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables is between 5-9 servings per day and even more if you’re participating in an exercise regimen. The body cannot manufacture the vital micronutrients that fruit and vegetables contain, so they must be supplied in the diet. If the body is given the right amount of raw materials, it will heal itself.
