But, when you diet, you lose muscle mass. This can be a grave problem as muscle tissue is very important. Secondly, when you diet only, there is no physical activity to help tone your body. Therefore, the areas on which weight loss has occurred might look flabby and unkempt. Exercising on the other hand, would give a toned, healthy look. Exercise also helps in obtaining a better circulatory and digestive system, which in turn assists the process of weight loss.
